From the Bear Paw Development Corporation

I am pleased to support the application that appears before you from the community of Chester for purposes of construction a new swimming pool for use by its residents as well as visitors.

Bear Paw development has had a long and productive relationship with the Town of Chester and is intimately familiar with the needs of the community and the resolve of its local leadership and citizenry to see a project to fruition. This swimming pool is no different.

There exists a clear and identifiable need for this project, as has been identified on multiple occasions through community surveys and needs assessments. Additionally, local residents involved in this project are committed to funding over 80 percent of the cost associated with constructing this community enhancement with funds other than those from this grant program.

This project will provide wonderful recreational opportunities for residents of all ages, will assist in attracting out-of area tourists to the area, will enable the community to host regional swim meets and will fix a significant problem the existing swimming pool has with major water leaks.

Bear Paw Development encourages your favorable consideration of this application and is willing to assist the Town of Chester in the management of this project.

Thank you for considering these comments,

Best regards,
Paul Tuss
Executive Director
